Our professional development initiatives support students interested in pursuing careers in the themed entertainment industry through skill-building workshops, guest speakers, portfolio guidance, and industry insights. We provide opportunities to learn from professionals, explore career paths, and gain a better understanding of how immersive experiences are brought to life. Whether members are actively preparing for a career or simply curious, we aim to make professional growth accessible and inspiring.
General Meetings
Our general meetings feature industry professionals and engaging conversations that introduce members to a wide range of themed entertainment concepts. These sessions offer insight into the industry while encouraging curiosity, discussion, and inspiration for students at all levels of interest.
Design Meetings
Design meetings are hands-on work sessions focused on preparing for themed entertainment design competitions. Members collaborate on creative problem-solving, concept development, and presentation skills while gaining experience in the design process.
Expos and Conferences
We organize trips to themed entertainment expos and conferences to give members firsthand exposure to the industry. These experiences allow students to learn from professionals, explore emerging ideas and technologies, and connect classroom learning with real-world industry environments.

ASTM F24 Conference
October 13-16, 2026

The ASTM F24 conference, is a biannual technical gathering (usually February and October) where over 300+ global industry professionals gather to develop and revise safety standards for amusement rides, water parks, and attractions. These meetings are crucial for setting the technical safety standards adopted by most US states and many international jurisdictions.
